The Other Side

Today I'm sharing the other side of the dining room.  If you stopped by yesterday you saw part of the dining room.  I shared finding an antique tiered shelf filled with lots of Blue and White.

Now you are getting a glimpse of the other side of the dining room.  The last look you had of this side of the room it had my tea cart with tea service at Christmas.

The plant stand now looks perfect where once the tea cart had been. Does the fern not look perfect atop the plant stand?!

After adding the tiered server it moved other furniture around in the dining room.   Honestly, with the server and the tea cart on the front side of the room it made it look heavy and not balanced.  So, I moved the tea cart to the wall/corner opposite where it had been.  Balance achieved!

I've pondered painting the dining room a more neutral color, as I'd love to find new curtains for the room!  Oh well nothing is ever really finished is it!!

  2. Seeing your decked out dining room makes me so proud to be a Southern Woman. I adore the classic dark furniture. SILVER!, crystal, china and porcelain on display makes my heart sings. I'm in other folks homes frequently. Only occasionally do I see a traditional oh-so-very-southern furnishings in a dining room. It breaks my heart that we may be the last generation to honor the beauty in classic vintage furnishings.
