Christmas in the Kitchen

All the trimmings of Christmas help to create a wonderful backdrop for our family time together.  An incredible amount of that family time occurs in the kitchen.

Naturally, I'd add a Christmas tree to the kitchen even if it is a small one.  The wine chiller seemed an ideal selection to sit the tree in.

This little corner always gets lots of attention.  I added a few special pieces, the biscuit barrel with a little bit of greenery adds a natural look and it is resting on an English breadboard, there are also a couple of dishes I've collected.

The boys and I have a passion for hot beverages, be it coffee, hot cocoa or warm cider.  So in late fall, I set up our beverage station.  It gets quite the work out for the duration of winter.  Here is a little known fact, I can't ever get enough of peppermint, I even have a peppermint scented lotion I use all year long!

Tomorrow I'll be back sharing the dining and breakfast rooms on our next stop on the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour!

  1. Tamyra,

your kitchen is wonderful! I love that you put a tree in that beautiful ice bucket, and the beverage station is stylish AND functional. So many of the ones I am seeing on Pinterest are just for show....

    Good job! Merry Christmas

    1. Christine, we "use" our kitchen and nothing can be for show. Every inch of our counter tops are valuable real estate!
