I don't look sick at all......
do I...
all snuggled up to none other than
HGTV's Chip Wade
He is some kinda gorgeous man, not to mention that he knows his subject matter!!! Chip was our keynote speaker this year!
I'll admit being a little starstruck last year when I got to see/meet those bloggers that I had stalked all over their blogs and social media. To get to rub shoulders with the likes of Kim from Savvy Southern Style, Geralin Thomas of Metropolitan Organizing, an organizer for the tv show Hoarders and Yvonne from Stone Gable to name a few was something I never dreamed I'd do! This year is was a little more about seeing friends but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a list of who I had to meet....Christy from Our Southern Home ...ya'll her house is just absolutely fabulous so go take a peek and when I found out that Amanda of Dixie Delights was gonna be there...I nearly had a fit! When I first saw Amanda, I feared that I might have scared her or at the very least she thought I was crazy as I ran up to her with and "OMG it is Amanda from Dixie Delights!" During the last year, I discovered the blog Walking in Grace and Beauty, the blogger is Cyndi Spivey who is as precious as the day is long! I rudely interupted her while she was chatting with another(we all do this so it really is okay, I tell myself that at any rate)to tell her how fantastic she is (we were already Instagram friends so she kinda knew who I was) and that I was delighted to meet her. Surely there is no better looking 40 something gal than Cyndi! Here I am with Cyndi and Yvonne just happens to be in the background too!
Me & Yvonne
Last year, while playing the role of a wall flower, I met and became friends with Kathy from Southern Style Southern Charm. We became instant friends, we talk most days on the phone and I think the world of her!
My room mate last year and this year is Sondra from Sondra Lyn at Home. When we roomed together last year we realized we were both Auburn Alumni and her husband grew up less than 5 miles from our farm up in Chambers County...we too were fast friends! My new fav friend/blogger that I met this year is Wendy Bass from Antebellum 1862....as soon as she opened her mouth and said she was from Savannah...there was no doubt we were gonna be good friends! Last year at Haven I met Wendy Wilhoit and her husband, Sam that have a business that involves refinishing the facade of fireplaces...ya'll this is very cool.
Here is a pic of the four of us at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner one night.
Well there you have the who I saw at Haven..... so come back tomorrow and hear all about the fabulous sponsors and the SWAG!
Tamyra, it looks like you had a fabulous time!! I wish I had been able to attend this year. I think each year gets better and better. Your recap is great and makes me so jealous. :) I'm thrilled you could attend again! I can't wait to hear about the swag!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had so much fun! Hate that I wasn't there and able to see you again. Maybe next year...
ReplyDeleteRub it in! :D Glad you had a great time. Maybe next year.... :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't it great! It seemed to me that the schedule was much tighter this year than last. I had no downtime and didn't even finish visiting all of the booths. The swag was wonderful! I have already installed my new showerhead! Thanks so much for telling me about LensCrafters. They were super and fixed me up in no time at all. My family wants to know what is up with me and Atlanta having a crisis 2 years in a row!!
