Changing Up The Kitchen Buffet
It was bound to happen. The coffee table was dying for a change and I knew the brass tray was gonna have to make a move. When I saw the tray I was smitten. In true Tamyra form, it took exactly a week to go back out to the local antique shop and pick it up.
Sitting on the tray are a few of my fav pieces I have collected. The English Oak Biscuit Barrel along with the blue willow butter dish were finds over in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Truthfully, I'd have just overlooked the small pitcher with the vintage silver pieces had my antique buddy not stopped and said that I "had" to get it. Not only is it old but also it was obvious that it was used and used often. The silver is a mix of family pieces and antique store finds. We speculate that it is from the early 1900's. The decanters were moved from the coffee table with the brass tray.
Notice those absolutely fabulous oil paintings that replaced the small hunt scene prints that were there. They literally fell into my lap! No vignette in my house is complete without a few pieces of Staffordshire.
I couldn't be more pleased with the changes. But with the upcoming holidays it is safe to say it won't last too long!
