A Chair and a Tray Table

Our master bedroom doesn't get much, if any show time on the blog.  Why you might ask?  It is such a disappointment from the previous master suites we've had!  This is a bedroom, not a suite.  At the beginning of the year I decided it was time to fall in love with what I had...to work with.

Fast forward to Saturday when Bestie N and I decided we needed a mental health trip to Pine Mountain for a little bit of eye candy...aka an antique shopping trip.  I found several things that I'll share in the next few blog posts.  When I saw this tray table I knew it was headed back to Auburn with me.  You all saw it on Instagram with our cat, Cody plopped right down on it.

This morning after a mountain of laundry I set out on my task of where in the house was the tray table headed.  The top is kind of a soft green and my first thought was the guest bedroom. Before I lugged it up the stairs I made the call to just see how it might look beside my vintage velvet chair in the master.

WIN!!!!

After accessorizing you hardly notice the green.  The antique Blue Willow planter also a terrific find from Saturday.  Those books...picked those up at Scott's back at the beginning of January. I couldn't resist seeing how my Staffordshire lamp looked on it...Swoon!

Ya'll know I love a needle point pillow and when I saw this on Saturday I didn't even care that it had a  pic of a dog on it!

So this little corner of the bedroom goes a long way in the master plan of falling in love with our bedroom.  Each time I walk into the room it makes me happy to see one little part of the room almost done!  Pray I find some drapes for those windows soon!

  1. Okay little lady, I'll take that cute as pie table off your hands if you decide the green is not a go. Love your finds and I'm hoping you will fall in love with your master again. It's lovely.
