Antiques on a Screened Porch 2.0

A few years ago I shared with you all my friend's screened porch and you guys loved it!  It tops one my most viewed posts for sure!  Here is a refresher for those that saw it  a couple years ago and if you would like to read that post and see all the pics you can take a peek here.

My friend made a few changes to her porch so I thought I'd share.  After much debate she decided to paint the walls of her screened porch last year.

The lighter paint color sure makes the space look larger, lighter and brighter. In addition to lightening the color, she added an a settee for added seating.  You might have noticed the flat screen hanging, let's just call that a "man thing" and leave it at that.  Moving on....

One of the things that I adore the most about her porch is that it isn't all just outdoor furniture.  Her use of an primitive table would be unexpected on a screened porch as are many of the elements she has in place.  Each piece seems to have a story and WOW  I love that!

She looked for a table top fountain for ages.  Her patience paid off and when she found this one, it was absolutely perfect don't you think?  The sound of the water is soothing.  I sure wish I could put a fountain on the deck but, those raccoons would be drinking from it if I did!

The antique pie safe holds her collection of ironstone pitchers.  Such a great way to display treasured pieces.

The roof tile in the photo below was a spectacular find, it is from Scotland.  The dealer she bought it from says it is 19th century!

Who doesn't want a Staffordshire lamp on their screened porch?!

She has many extrodinary pieces on the porch but no doubt the stained glass steals the show!  The stained glass is the focal point of the space.

Many thanks to Bestie N for allowing me to share these photos from her home with all of you!
