A Halloween Tablescape

This year I thought it might be fun to create a Halloween themed tablescape, especially since I've not done one before.  Rather than something ghoulish I've gone for a cheery traditional look.

Starting with the black feathered black tree along with the black and orange garland both from Joann Stores.

The table runner is a staple for me, it is the most used table runner that I own.  It is a neutral and provides a great backdrop for anything that I place on it.  The orange tapers and the paper napkins were also a find at JoAnn's.

Adding orange pumpkins to the center of the table on either end and a string of pumpkin glimmer strings from Pier 1 makes it festive!  Those glimmer string are precious when they are lit!

The orange placemats I've had for ages, they most likely came from Marshall's as did the orange salad plates.

The black and white plaid chargers are a very recent purchase.  I only picked up 2 and I'm debating if I want to get more.  I try hard not to buy loads of trendy pieces and I've not made my mind up where else I can use these yet.

With the table set maybe I'll call a few friends to come over!
