A Getaway at Ocean Inn & Suites

Back in early spring I went on a 3 state thrifting adventure.  The trip wasn't a great trip in the realm of thrifting but, along the way I saw beautiful scenery.  As you all know, I love St. Simons Island and go there as often as possible. This trip up and down the eastern seaboard gave way to a one night stay at Ocean Inn & Suites.  For many years I've wanted to stay at this hotel as the location is ideal.  As luck would have it the rate was in my budget so I booked!

Upon check in I was immediately upgraded and the room was lovely!  I dashed to the balcony, while it was small the view was fantastic, especially at night when the lighthouse was lit!

As you can see this room was quite spacious.  A couple could totally stay in this room with small children on a rollaway bed and not feel cramped.  The king sized bed was very comfy, so much so that I didn't wanna get out the next morning.  

The bathroom was spacious, larger than the average hotel bath.

Breakfast is simple, much what you expect these days with pastries, yogurt, instant oatmeal/grits and of course coffee!  You sit family style at a large table and it was nice to chat with others.

The location is of course everything.  It was a quick walk to the pier, village and the light house!
