Kitchen Restyled

Do you ever wonder why it is that you can buy one thing for a room and it necessitates an entire make over of a space?  I happened upon a cheese round that I thought would be perfect in my kitchen and here I am now writing a post about my kitchen restyled.  In case you need a reminder, take a peek at the evolution of our kitchen here.

There is the culprit...that cheese round turned out to be too big for the spot I wanted to put it in...so I moved it here.  The Blue Willow strainer was a steal of a deal at a local thrift store, it has had lots of use and it is very old.
The coffee corner as I call it, had the addition of the blue and white lamp along with the antique biscuit barrel.
Last year when I restyled the cabinets they seemed lackluster...no pop.  So I enlisted the help of a friend and she immediately said it needed some more color.  Staffordshire figurines were the perfect solution.  Honey's  grandmother's  Fostoria goblets were also added.  We added a couple of pitchers along with  casserole dishes.
Here is a shot with the doors opened.

Since today is Honey's bday I added the cupcake to my Happy Everything plate!
