Christmas Breakfast Tablescape

Christmas morning has always been such a special morning.  At our house the boys are opening Santa and there is lots of cooking going on.  We all enjoy breakfast food so I try to make it an "affair!"  Since we lived away from our family for over 17 years we learned to make simple things mean alot!  When the boys were younger we'd put them to bed and I'd set the breakfast table so after they had opened Santa they'd see lots of pretties.  This year Honey's family will be joining us for Christmas Brunch and the breakfast table will most likely look just like this!

About 12 years ago we were living on the Oklahoma/Texas border and I shopped quite a bit around Dallas.  I picked up a 8 place setting of Pfaltzgraphh Winterberry somewhere in Dallas.  It is a great mid priced set that serves and holds up well.  As soon as December rolls in we pull it out and use it until New Years!

For the centerpiece this year I chose to go with a pair of hurricanes that I had bought in the spring at Pier 1 Imports.  Just tossed in assorted Christmas balls, easy peasy!

The table runner goes way back to Honey's 50th bday party.  So glad it is versatile as I use it often!

After I put the runner down and the hurricanes, I moved along to red chargers for every seat and at the captains seats I placed  additional cream chargers.   Between the dinner plate and the cream chargers I placed a red napkin.  The linen napkins are  a recent purchase that I believe I can use on many occasions.

You will notice a coffee cup at each place, me and the boys are big coffee drinkers...Honey, not so much!  He does drink hot cocoa though.

Do you dress your breakfast table up for the Christmas season?
